Our country has another unique chance to experience the power of joint prayer and of faith of the people. On June 8th, 2019, the National Day of Prayer for Ukraine was held for the fourth time in Kyiv. Millions of Ukrainians will unite for the sake of peace and justice, forgiveness and understanding, for the sake of spiritual revival and new future for the country. The same day, prayer events were held in many cities of Ukraine.
Ukraine is overcoming many obstacles on its path to dreamed spiritual and economic freedom. Despite all challenges and difficulties of recent years, God continues to protect territorial integrity of Ukraine and peace in most of its lands, gives freedom to practice your faith and to pray, points to ways of overcoming despair and gives hope for a better future.
The Bible contains many descriptions of dramatic events, when God saved and blessed His people in response to their zealous prayer in humility and repentance: “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Therefore, acknowledging our dependence on God, we want to invite all Ukrainian Christians to become part of united National Prayer for Ukraine. Let us pray for our country, for present circumstances and for our future. Let us pray together in faith that our joint prayer will be a blessing for the people of Ukraine!

27 May 2017 National Day of Prayer for Ukraine official press release
When Jesus created the Church, He gave her the power and authority of his name to make requests in prayer to Almighty God, the Creator and King of the Universe. “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13) Prayer is a gracious gift and a privilege given by God. The prayer of faith is a powerful spiritual weapon able to destroy the works of Satan and change the course of history. Unity of prayer is of great strength, as the Bible and the history of mankind clearly show! Today, in a time of great political and socio-economic difficulties, God gives the Church and the people of Ukraine a unique chance to witness the power of united prayer of faith to God. The state of total despair in the people, the corruption and incompetence of the Ukrainian authorities, frustrated relations with Western partners and the exhausting war in the east are a great opportunity to demonstrate the greatness and omnipotence of our God, who only can save and raise up our country. That is why the Spirit of God urges his people not to lose faith and perseverance and to meet together again on the prayer mountain to light a fire on the altar of zealous prayer for Ukraine. The Lord calls us to put on the whole armour of God and stand side-by-side in prayerful intercession for our native land!
